Data sources and methodology
Calculated by Museum of Cricket
Runs, balls faced, averages, strike rates, centuries, partnerships, runs by over, records and milestones marked as calculated are all derived by the museum from the ball-by-ball data. Averages divide runs by dismissals. Wides are not counted as balls faced; no-balls are.
Coverage
Each page states how many innings its figures cover. If a format or period has not been imported, its numbers are missing rather than estimated, and career totals describe only what has been imported.
Franchise renames (for example Kings XI Punjab to Punjab Kings) are listed under the current name. Different spellings of one ground are merged.
Curated entries
Debuts, captaincy and honours are not derivable from ball-by-ball data. They are entered by hand, only with a source, and are labelled as curated.
Media
Match videos are linked through their original YouTube sources and are embedded where supported. Images are used for visual reference and credited where the original source is known. No match footage is downloaded or rehosted. Special thanks to the creators and sources on Pinterest and YouTube.
